Top 10 Ideas to Puzzle up your Christmas

With less than a month left til Christmas we have put together our top 10 ideas to put some puzzle magic into your Christmas this year.  Bring your love of puzzles together with the magic of Christmas. 

Number 10.  Share the Love

Buy a 500 piece puzzle or smaller, wrap it and place it under the Kmart (or similar) wish tree.  Introduce a young person to the joys of puzzles and allow the gift of giving to warm your heart.  

Number 9.  Make your Own Puzzle Xmas cards

Use our make your own puzzle temple (click here), attach it to coloured cardboard (green and Red) and cut out some puzzle pieces.  Glue them to your make your own cards to share your love of puzzles to those your love or to make the card resonate with the puzzle lover in your life.  Tip: go to Pinterest and search for ideas and tips to make your own cards. 

Number 8. Create Puzzle Shaped Ice Cubes

Grab a puzzle piece shaped ice cube tray (or mould) and add puzzle shaped cubes to your Christmas drinks.  Use small amounts of food colouring to make multicoloured puzzle piece ice cubes to add to water or clear drinks. 

Number 7. Rehome a Puzzle

Clean up your puzzle range and give someone one of your puzzles to do over the xmas break.  Find someone who might be lonely or isolated over xmas and introduce them to the joy of completing puzzles. 

Number 6. Puzzle shaped Christmas Bread

If you like to bake your own bread, try a speciality xmas bread from the many different countries around the world.  Use some puzzle shaped cookie cutters to turn your bread into mini puzzles for a fun and different treat this xmas. 

Number 5. Repurpose your Xmas Wrap

Looking for something to do with the kids during the summer break.  Why not turn your xmas wrapping paper into mini puzzles.  All you need is glue, scissors, cardboard, xmas wrap and our puzzle template and you have a fun and simple activity.  Click here for the template.

Number 4. Puzzle Shaped Gingerbread Cookies

Use your puzzle shaped cookie cutters, your favourite gingerbread recipe and your favourite cookie decorations (lollies, icing etc) and spend some time with the kids making puzzle shaped gingerbread cookies.

What better way to spend some quality time with the family then with a puzzle or a game. If your family love jigsaws choose a xmas themed puzzle you can all do together.  If games are more your family’s thing, then choose a solve a mystery or trivia based game that brings joy and educates t the same time.
